Executive Director Employment Description

You would be responsible for carrying out the vision of offering a safe space for our Hanover-Horton middle and high school students to attend after school. The day-to-day operations would be under your direction in this 40 hour a month position.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in social work or related areas
• Minimum of 2 years experience in leading a volunteer program
• Effective communication skills
• Available during open hours Tuesday and Thursday 2pm – 6pm

Other Responsibilities:

• Maintain Code of Conduct for everyone in the Center
• Contact Parent/Guardians as necessary for COC incidents
• Contact parents about Center closures/ or other emergencies
• Finalizes TXTC Parent/Guardian Letters and Monthly Calendar
• Responsible for filling out reporting forms if necessary
• Pick up food (snacks) and drinks for Snack Shack (Meijer gift card)
• Make/purchase monthly birthday treat
• Plan Guest Speakers / Call and organize date and logistics
• Plan field trips / Call and organize date and logistics
• Plan service projects / Call and organize date and logistics
• Plan team building ideas w/ Asst. Director and Staff
• Help recruit volunteers / and hire staff
• Track staff hours – report those to Treasurer every other week
• Delegate/Oversee cleanup of the teen center
• Monthly team meetings (review and future ideas)
• Volunteer Training Meetings (as needed)
• Background Check forms filled out for each new Staff/Volunteer
• Promoting TXTC at events (ABC night, SAU LoDown, etc.)
• Prepare monthly report to be presented at Board Meeting
• Stay within the budgeted monthly amount for expenditures
• Reports directly to the TXTC President/Chairperson

Starting Salary:

• $20 - $25 per hour depending on qualifications
